Oops... there goes job changing macros

I just logged in and have started trying things out. It's not the end of the world, but I just discovered that my job changing macros no longer work. When you use a macro to set a weapon, you get: "Unable to equip. Class rank or item affinity requirements are not met." You now have to set it manually. Hopefully that's fixed soon...

And yes, I checked to make sure the item name hasn't changed.

No, I'm a level 50 Lancer, and my macro for equipping the Champion's Lance gives that error.

Also, I just updated my macros to equip a "Dated Iron Raising Hammer" for my ARM, but that also fails. All other gear slots equip fine once the names are updated.

Have you changed to weapon/tool macro to:

/equip mh "weapon/tool"
/equip oh "offhand"

??? (found the above in the patch notes btw)

In not in yet, but I recall reading equipping main and sub have changed, from /equip main XXX to /mh XXX, and /equip sub YYY to /oh YYY. Hopefully, that works.

I'm having this problem now. I use /equip mh "Whatever" (and other item slot macros) and I get either "Unable to equip. Level or item affinity requirements are not met." or "Unable to equip. That slot is already being used."

Holy necrobump.

Try relogging. If that doesn't work, you'll probably need to provide more information (what are you trying to equip, what is in your macro, etc.)

That doesn't work. This is my first time making class swap macros and the only two I've tried to set up so far are:

/equip mh "Budding Maple Want"
/wait 1
/equip hands "Leather Mitts"
/wait 1
/equip feet "Leather Leggings"

and:

/equip mh "Pickaxe"
/wait 1
/equip oh "Weathered Sledgehammer"

The mitts and leggings work only if I am already set to a Discipline of War or Magic class (as they both require that), but all the main and off hand things I try give me one of those two errors I mentioned. I've scoured the internets and can't find what I'm doing wrong. >.< It's like the game doesn't realize I'm trying to equip gear to switch classes... it just thinks I'm trying to equip gear incompatible with my current class. =/ Is there a newer way to switch classes that I've not found? lol. (Oh, and manually switching mh gear works normally... but I need macros! lol)
