[Idea] Race: Allagan

It would really depend. To use as an example, Yoshi-P appears to be against the idea of making Viera playable, since they wouldn't be too different from the Miqo'te (just with rabbit ears and heels). It's heavily implied that Garleans are descendant's of the Allag people, so they'd most likely be a Midlander-type Hyur with a third eye or something. Xande appears to be a Roegadyn, though that's just an assumption based on how he sits on his throne.

From a lore point of view, I don't think it's possible. The Allag's have a bit of a reputation.

Why would Midgardsormr want to associate with someone who is in relations to a race who killed his son and enslaved his daughter as well as the Meracydians? for example.

I think a cool idea for a new race for FFXIV, based on the main storyline quest would be the Allagan's themselves.

Just stop. I think your want for a robotic race is taking dives into desperate measures and you're hurting yourself with everything you're trying to say to validate this possibility, which in all ability to reason, is NOT going to work.. ever.

Allagan's, as was stated previously in this thread, are not a race. They are a culture, an empire. Besides your idea would not work lore wise as has been stated also in this thread.


There are plenty of other MMO's that will most definitely fill your needs to play as a sentient, robotic being.

The Allagans are just like Garleans, humans from another nation. It's like saying you want to play as a Gridanian, which doesn't make sense. More over, they are humans (hyur) just like the garleans are just hyur. You're asking to play as a race (midlander hyur) which already exists. The clones (which are in fact replicas) are exactly how they would look, like hyurs (seeing as they are).

Really this is the same as making a thread to get Ishagrdians as a race when we have Elezen.

It's posts like these that encourages people to make topics that they know full well (or maybe not) doesn't make sense from lore prospective point of view.

Stop trying to break the lore SE has setup. If you want to be heard, please direct these questions in Live Letters, not the forums if you want a more direct answer.

Well we know they had plenty of clones and the Manikins of various types: CNJ/GLD/PGL, etc and those very android-like Omni.

Hopefully, if/when there's a new spoken race they'll be hinted at more often in-game prior to reveal than the Au Ra
