    Yeah, Dalamud is very sophisticated in it's design. They could not have just came up with it just like that. Most likely they have prototypes/ similar devices

    I noticed part of Fractal Continuum, the rear ship, had a similar design (red spiky globe). Judging by other structures in Azys Lla, I'm guessing globular structures were a common feature among Allagan vehicles, in contrast to the modern airships used by Eorzea, Garlemald, and Ixali.
