We can now buy the Buttefly/Flame Yukatas, but what is with the older ones? I liked them more.

I'm in favour of past event items not being reintroduced in any way. I know this isn't a widely-held point of view but to my mind it encourages subscriptions.

If you have completed the content from one patch and unsub until the next one (I know a lot of players do this and go play another game) having items that you won't be able to reobtain otherwise encourages you to keep your sub. Also, having something special that you know can't be reobtained again helps with loyalty as you feel a bit 'special'.

I'm actually wondering what the deal is with the older yukatas and how they're planning to distribute them if they aren't in the cash shop. Also the previous years swimsuits.

I could have sworn every new character got vouchers that could be turned in for the swimsuits either after creation or after the first month.

Edit: Found it, they are the Cascadier vouchers as the 60 day veteran rewards. You get 2 vouchers so you can get 1 top and 1 bottom or 2 of either. Trade them in at Mor Dhona.

Moonfire events have been weird since 2.0 launched. In 2013, it started late and was extended due to Realm Reborn launching at the end of August. It was just bikinis that year, no yukata returning. The event was earlier in 2014 and featured old and new yukata, but overlapped with the anniversary event in an awkward way, making it hard to discern the two events. I can't even remember which events the fireworks were supposed to be part of.

Mogstation Minifila and Thancred minions are from the anniversary event, the few yukatas they released are from moonfire. Bombdance emote is from Moonfire, but the Huzzah emote is missing from the anniversary. Not to mention ALL of the housing items are MIA, including the bomb ceiling lamp that is destroyed upon removal.

My point is that they haven't announced an in-game anniversary event for this year, yet. Normally they push old items on the Mogstation when the new event is announced. So hopefully in a week or so, they will announce an anniversary event, and the missing moonfire/ anniversary items will be put on mogstation.
