I don't know what's the Kupo Knight thing is all about, but I know Artisan will hide all recipe. I was leveling archer and wanted to buy a Oak Composite bow made, asked the carpenter they had, willie markeet or something. He is selling it for something ridiculous like 1mil. I asked some other carpenter on the server, non of them had recipe. So I asked willie if he could give me recipe he said only if I find a recipe he doesn't have. Now I don't have carpenter leveled so how do I possibly find out something he doesn't know? I looked on line for the recipe, and in the comment section of the Oak Composite bow I saw this:

Because no one else hid recipes? darn those who rank up a craft fast to try and make money and learn recipes before others!

I know people who do that, and I know plenty people who will post any unknown recipe to help others (thanks everyone who are not selfish and all bent out shape over virtual gil and share on YG and FFXIVPro). I just like latter group better that's it.
I would have paid the 1mil if I could somehow afford it, since I only have 200k, but whatever.
I only brought it because the linked post says something about Auggie hid recipe from LS to get ahead, and I could totally see him doing that since that's what they do apparently.

Thats wierd, if u look at most of the blacksmith recpies you'll see Pseudopisa Kite posted the recipes.

That's true and I like Kite, he was helpful to me... but you know, at the time Kite wasn't even in Artisan, they haven't got to him yet!
