Aren't there are only Seven different Rings (x2) that you need for all Classes?

As a lot of classes share them

Heal, Cast, Dexterity, Strength, Vitality, Gathering and Crafting

If you have all your classes at one level (eg: 60), then you would only require 14 Ring slots altogether

Weapons/Tools on the other hand need priority for more space as with all Classes that comes to 24 (23 slots and 1 equipped), only 2 slots left

I think, in my case atleast, that a glamour book would help a lot in regard to freeing up inventory space. It's been brought up many times on the forums. If you could simply bind an appearance to a glamour book (still needing glamour prisms to apply the glamour), you could then rid yourself of the excess gear. It wouldn't completely fix Armoury space limits, but it would help.

I did also include "At least make the change intuitive to where it puts gear in my Inventory automatically if there's no room in the Armoury chest." as an option if adding more space was not viable. This is a matter of coding. For example, " IF Armoury Chest is full, THEN put <item> in inventory." It could be modified fairly easily to only give the insufficient space error when Inventory is also full, which rarely happens for me.

I don't know if we really want to encourage SE to use our inventory for spillover Armory Chest space, but if they DID go with this solution, they'd better also make sure that the same thing happens in reverse: if you swtich to a job, and that job's gear is not in the Armoury Chest, check the inventory to see if it's there (and if so, equip it).

I agree with you on that. Make it smart enough to check the inventory as well when switching.

That's a pretty big "If". Sure, if everything's at one level, you're fine. You could just as well say that if you're only pursuing one job, you're fine. Both are true, but both are irrelevant. Not everybody has everything at the same level. When looking at whether the system gives people enough space, you need to assume someone who's jobs and classes DON'T share any gear. We should have enough space in the armory chest for all our gearsets to have unique items (plus an open space so we can switch to new items as we get them).

Once SE fixes their server issues (which they've said they're working on and they'd better really mean it in this case, not like a lot of things they said they were working on years ago and never happened), the formula should be to take the maximum number of Gear Sets a character can have (which I think is around 37 or 38 or so), add one or round up to the next multiple of 5 so that we can swap in new gear as we get it, and that's how many slots we should have for everything except rings. Then double that for the rings, since we need two of them. So around 40 for most slots, and 80 for rings.

Well, until they finish updating their systems to increase the Armory Chest, inventory is already its spillover space, it's just that currently we have to manually do all the swapping around when switching gear sets, and it's really annoying. (All the more so since that "Insufficient Space" error doesn't even tell us which tabs we need to make space in.)

Having the Gear Set switches check both places isn't a good final solution. They really do need to fix the Armory Chest to hold what we need. But this would sure help make it less annoying in the interim until they do.

I'd love it if armory was increased, constantly running out of room. Having one character for all jobs we need this to be bigger.

I wish they'd just let us use the space in the armoires. ;(

We shouldn't even have to be using more than two retainers. A friend of mine just restarted the game on a new character because he didn't want to have to deal with the inventory of his old one, which was a complete mess. Honestly, I was pretty close to doing the same thing, but have somehow managed to keep things at least playable with a third retainer. However, having to pay for a third retainer just to get the game playable doesn't seem like a fair deal...

I mean, is this how it's going to work? Each expansion resulting in us having to buy an additional retainer just to have space for old glamour gear, crafting supplies, and our class stuff? I can't even swap to some classes without having to play a demented armory swap minigame, let alone get to carry along any of the collectors edition extras to use for glamour.
