I just came back to the party and am level 57 in the middle of all the Heavensward quests. Genuinely curious, what are they doing to try and deter you from playing multiple jobs?

Less stuff to carry in your inventory. DoH/L scrips are a mess. SE has implemented the Specialist system for Crafters but honestly all the Hardcore crafters will get everything to 60. As for battle classes, High Level Roulette is useless after the first time because it yields no exp. HW FATEs were sooo useless before 3.05. The fact before only Hunts were the only way to upgrade gear. What's sad is the NA/EU servers are subpar with the JP servers. This relates to when the NA/EU servers went down but the JP servers were just fine.

This was already the case in 2.0
Law => Philo
Eso => Myth (job restricted)
Maybe the next tomes will be like soldiery and won't be job specific.
It's even worse if you have classes spread across levels, though I am working on that. They were able to add more slots to the Soulstones holding space, surely an extra line (or at least 1 or 2) per slot can't hurt.

Yeah, if specialization gets pushed any harder on battle content, I might leave at the end of my subscription if a good new game comes out...
I seriously don't want another WOW daily chore clone...

I play most classes, in turns, they're spread across all levels, I'm living in a perpetual gear management nightmare !
I wish there was a bit more space, like... at least 1 more slot per armory slot per new job introduced would be good, to not be even more crowded than it was before.

For me its rings. Since there are two items needed for each role for that slot, it's as bad as the weapons.I play most classes, in turns, they're spread across all levels, I'm living in a perpetual gear management nightmare !

Why is thread in existence? This question has been answered numerous times. This is why the English Forums are vastly ignored - .-;

Can you link the thread where this was answered ? I tried searching and it yielded nothing.
Edit:
I found a link, on the forum, to a reddit post:

A: First and foremost we've heard this question asked multiple times around the world and we want to mention that in Final Fantasy XIV just the sheer volume of the character data and the number of items each character can hold is much greater than that of a typical MMO. The reason why we can’t increase the size of the armory chest quickly or easily relates to how often we rewrite the data into the servers in the back end. We rewrite the data every fifteen seconds so even if the server goes down you don’t experience a rollback. Of course with the sheer volume of the character data when you expand the armory chest the amount of load that goes into the rewriting and refreshing of the back end servers would increase and we’re trying to keep it as quick as possible. We currently have it at fifteen seconds but if we were to add more load to it then it may make it take longer to do that refresh and it may delay to thirty seconds, one minute, fifteen minutes. We don’t want to take away from the player experience. We don’t want things to slow down because we’re expanding the armory chest. We’re researching ways in which we can make that happen. We need more time to make that happen. We’re not saying it’s impossible but your patience would be appreciated as we try to figure out a way to optimize the process so that it won’t take away from the speed and affect playability or the player’s experience. We are trying to implement something that can be addressed quicker which is increasing the number of retainers. So in the mean time we if you are using things within the game fairly frequently you may want to utilize the expanded retainer capabilities.
