Access to Heavensward Zones

Since I mostly do Crafting and Gathering and haven't found any Information to certain Zones.
Is it even possible to access every overland Area (Churning Mist, Dravanian Hinterlands), without doing the Mainstory Quests?
Like with the level 55 Gathering Quest or something?

No, you will have to do them to unlock flying there are some aether currents tied to the MSQ. Sea of clouds especially, you have to do the MSQ to be able to access more than half that map.

You have to do MSQ. You need to be able to fly to some of the nodes.
Hinterlands (left side of the bridge)
Sea of Clouds (North west part, and some islands)
Churning Mist (Some islands)
Azy Lia (Islands)
As for Western Highlands I am not sure.
You have to complete main story and be able to fly in the new areas.

The other thing though is some of the aether currents are tied to side quests as well, some of them are a couple quests deep in the line. It's not really that bad. I only have limited time to play maybe 2-3 hours a day if that, finished up all the quests including side quests in about 3 weeks, not playing every day either.

Cause people don't do story. Only craft and gather. Hence gating the new items through the MSQ is a bummer for em
