help with lancer to dragoon

hello...
i'm new within ffxiv... just started a few days ago
been playing as a lancer and i want to make it as a dragoon later
but i still don't understand how to use abilities and the whole class really XD

the question is... is there a noob guide for a Lancer to Dragoon? or any help at all understanding the class/job role and functions

There's no indication on your Lodestone profile that you have been playing anything but a pugilist. Level 22 so far. If you want to be a lancer/dragoon you need to go to Gridania and pick up the lancer class.
