Is SE not making enough money? Extra inventory space already costs RL money
Is SE not making enough money? Extra inventory space already costs RL money
The answer to that question is always. "No." Money isn't something that just sits still. It gets used up pretty quick. Raking in more means you can do more with it, even if we the players of FFXIV don't always see the end result of that.
This completely mirrors my thoughts on the matter. The best would would have been it wasn't possible at all to get that stuff.
You didn't play back then? Well too bad you don't get it.
Then we would have thread after thread "Please put them in the cashshop SE, i pay real money for it!"
So they basically just skipped a step.

Actually, in keeping with what Assirra said, people DID ask to be able to purchase older seasonal items they missed a while back. So there's that.
Do we (the community as a whole) even know what we want anymore?
Some people say "please put in cash shop" in those threads and immediately other people say "ugh why are you asking for them to charge you more." So, it isn't as if every person is asking for something to be added to the cash shop and when it gets added suddenly people show up to complain. It's just that this battle between those who see it as a cash grab and those that don't mind SE charging for extra stuff has been ongoing since the cash shop's inception. Everyone eventually moves on when a new hot topic shows up, and SE is happy to just let you guys fight it out until then.
We do. But it's wrong of us to assume we all want the same things.
Its up to SE to make the judgement call of who to appeal to - in no way could they ever satisfy them all. In this circumstance, it benefits themselves and the game the most to make this compromise, as the only ones who won't get the items are those who do not wish to invest in this game one way or another.
Speculatively, I feel as if that falls those particular individuals outside of the range of the target audience.
Wither I agree or not- is pretty irrelevant, but as long as people continue to purchase said items from the cash shop, it's going to happen. I think we would all be surprised on how many people have no issues with it. So this will continue, all the purchases they recieve > our complaints on the forums and thats reality. That being said.
SE, selling emotes.. really? lol >.>
Btw I really don't think this needed another thread, i mean really![]()
Did I say stupid dance? I meant to say
stupid dance.
Yall get pretty worked up over $2.
Eh, while I'm bummed that the Yukata's are blocked behind real money...at the same time it's $2 or $3 for an outfit and I get to pick which one.
Coming from a F2P background where this exact same yukata was far more likely to cost $10 or even $15 a piece...........honestly this okay. Now paying for an emote, I don't agree with 100%, but having to compare paying for pixels before, the yukata's a steal.
I just wish they'd get their pricing's straight. So a full yukata is $3 but a tiny ring or pair of earrings is also $3? That...doesn't make any sense. Smaller items should cost less. That's really the biggest issue I have with their cash shop: I think they spin a roulette wheel and price items based on where it lands :/
