This kind of stuff is just a goodie. I don't know why there are so many complains. It's not like if they sold OP stuffs that can break the game.

They sold these items because they don't want to do the same events over and over with the same quests and rewards. And glad they don't do that.

This stuff is old. it's sold on the cash shop for players who haven't played the game one year ago.

The items being in a cash shop doesn't satisfy the complaints of the twelve year olds who got upset that other people had the same stuff they do. They're also, by the way, not the kind of people SE should be paying any attention to.

These guys are a bit selfish & we can't trade an emote anyway. I don't see the problem if old stuff can be wear by new people. The stuff was really easy to get.

Look at things like coils nerf where you can see a lot of people with dreadwyrm gears before 3.0 launch. should we complain? Definitely not. Yet one could say it's not fair for players who had beaten coils before nerf.

Oh yeah, no one cares about cosmetics and vanity! We don't care what our gear looks like. We're never happy or sad regardless of how new armor sets look. No one ever asked for a wardrobe system in any MMO, especially not this one, and people certainly don't care at all about customizing their gear's appearance with dyes either. In fact, cosmetics are so unnecessary, I'm not sure why any MMO bothers to include wardrobe systems at all!

They already had a solution, and it was quite brilliant: New event brings new stuff, and the old stuff stays on the vendor, too! Wow, everyone can have their cake and eat it, too! (Except the twelve year olds, which we've already established aren't really to be listened to.)

I can see your sarcasm but I never said that. Of course you cut my sentence, I guess that's why you misinterpreted.

It's what I've been asking SE to do in every thread on this that crops up. They did it in the past; I've been asking them to go back to how they used to work. A compromise I would be somewhat okay with, that I have also mentioned repeatedly, is to make the costumes unlocked account-wide, so that if a player (such as myself) was around during the event and got the items on a specific character, those items would then be unlocked on all other characters, too.

I cried so hard when I saw the Moonfaire event. I was actually asking about it just before it was announced, mainly because I wanted the bomb dance.

Then they added the bomb dance to the cash shop.

I've been crying ever since.

By your logic, players should be able to get Alex Savage drops by spending gil/tokens. And if raiders complained, they'd just be acting like twelve year olds upset that people have the same stuff they do.

What you have to comprehend is that these events are billed as "One and only chance". They repeat the "only available during this event" line everywhere. Even when they have similar events/items in the future, the items are at least slightly different. There is a level exclusivity attached to seasonal items, and it's a tool for them to get people to subscribe. A lot of people take breaks from the game and then resub just for events until the next major patch comes out. So for all intents and purposes, those people are spending $15 (or $10 if legacy) for the seasonal items.

So perhaps it's you who should stop being a twelve year old and think before you start insulting people and telling SE who they should listen to. You've proven it definitely shouldn't be you.

Um... it was content. These are specific event rewards from years past in which you must have not participated.

Uh. What? No, not by my logic at all. Only by your twisted mind. Alex Savage is a raid. If people want Alex Savage drops, they can run the content in-game. I doubt the raid will be going anywhere.

The holiday items, on the other hand, were previously available for gil. And then SE removed them. Seriously. Why is this so hard to understand?
