Disappointed with FC Airships

I had such hopes for the idea of FC Airships when they were announced. I thought there would so many great, problem-solving ways they could implement them. One that jumped to mind was FC housing that could get around ward limitations and just be instanced on crowded servers. (IE:You join an Airship FC, Teleport to Airship) (Maybe the size of a small house, perhaps 1.5 million gil on poor servers) and room for a garden on deck, and a stables in the basement. In so many FF games, the Airship has been our "base", from the Blackjack to the Highwind to the Ragnarok, we have lived out of our Airship. I miss it.

Failing that, I thought that the FC Airships (again, which should have been open to houseless FCs) would allow us to get to new and interesting areas, with our FC. Gathering strange nodes with more then one DoL in the clouds, crafters building hull upgrades and improved steering to fly ever higher. We basically instead got a weird retainer.

It has already been said that the full roll out of the FC Airship feature would be coming in a later patch. I think it's even coming in 3.1

Airship fights and maybe catching/hunting primals...
I can imagine the airships are a testrun for mechanics we will get to summon primals...
