Please allow forum questions for 2 Year Anniversary Live Letter

It seems weird to me that we've having a Live Letter honoring 2 years of work and commitment but not including questions from the fans. I know that this incredibly long broadcast is devoted to the fans, but it just feels weird to have left that out.

I'm hoping this might be reconsidered, even if the questions only focus around the developers themselves and not the game. It just feels better to be able to participate. Heck, even asking questions to the Community Dev Team might be fun.

You guys rock for everything you do.

This is just another example of the low regard that SE has for its non-Japanese subscribers/customers. This is supposedly a celebration of FFXIV second anniversary for which subscribers from all over the world contributed equally yet NA/EU participation is an afterthought. Everything is geared strictly for the Japanese fan. The presentation is strictly in Japanese. If you do not speak the language... tough. I guess the only thing NA/EU players are good for are their wallets.

Well, NA, particularly America, (and EU maybe?) are known for being rich and dumb spenders. Why dedicate more attention and money to them than you have to? They'll keep spending away anyways.

You're stereotyping does a great disservice to the dedicated players from NA/EU. While There are a number of players who do fit your description they are well outnumbered by the honest players. These people deserve better.

Nekodar....I would prefer to have all the information that Japanese speaking players get. I can determine what in relevant for me. As for the 2nd anniversary broadcast we are scheduled to get nothing.

Seriously? This is going too far.

The development teams have absolutely no obligation in making these videos and streams; they do it for the fans. Not to mention that Camate and Bayohne work together to have translations up before the LIVE stream is even over.

Though we're all guilty of thinking one game project should be prioritized over another, it doesn't change the fact that they're doing a damn good job listening to thousands of people.

You realise that most of the devs probably speak pretty poor English right? When they have translators, which they have before, it doubles the length of the Live Letter. We tend to get a transcript in english within a short time after anyway and all the sides tend to have English translations of what is written on them.

As for questions, as much as I would like to see them field them, I would prefer info on 3.1 to a Q&A. The entire last Live Letter was Q&A so its not like they are avoiding them completely.

The Japanese team has pretty good English, but speaking and reading full sentences in English gets a bit hard for a non-native speaker . Especially getting the context right.
