Time Warner Cable > D/C symbol with no disconnect.

Not sure why but this has started happening. I'm on TWC Ultimate package that gives me 60Mbps right now. I can connect to all webpages and I have a brand new modem so that is not a issue.

Right now I'm getting long unexplained lag spikes when running duty finder followed by a long term D/C symbol by my name before it finally disconnects me.

Sometimes it randomly disconnects me without giving me D/C symbol.

I had your problem with Extreme 30down/5up through TWC back during 2013 release. I captured all sorts of logs on the issue I was seeing. I might get 30Mbps, but I'd have lag spikes that would result in being kicked from the server. The game was unplayable (and the queues to log back in made it even more impossible).

One of the things I showed TWC was that I ran a ping test to the nearest TWC station and my FFXIV server. Running them side by side showed that I was losing packets at the same time to both TWC and FFXIV.

TWC had some higher tier tech come out, they had a watch on my modem (whatever that really means) and the tech watched the packets drop on my PC while checking signal levels. They had no clue.

Weeks. Had this problem for weeks.

I then called up TWC and asked them to downgrade to a lower speed... bam. Solid connection. I waited about 3 moths, asked them to up my service again... and it worked again. No idea why, but the problem resolved itself eventually.
