Healer should be allowed to hardlock onto both an ally and enemy simultaneously.

Only gotten to lvl 33 so far and playing healer feels so tedious in fights where i can heal and attack without any issues. Mainly because i either have to repeatedly reselect the tank or a monster only because i can't lock onto both simultaneously.

And if there are any skills that can target both friend of foe, they could make it so that it priotized friends, or make some sort of toggle like targeting foe if cleric stance is up.

Of course healers should mainly heal, but at the lower levels it's practically a one button job while dozing of on the keyboard.

You sort of can with <tt> macros. Just use those for your damage skills and you'll attack your target's target instead.

I use "mouseover" macros for all my heals, <mo> is the command. What I like to do is Target the boss so I can see its cast bar. Focus target the tank i'm healing (Shift+T). I can dps the target, switch in and out of cleric stance, and heal the party without losing my current target. I just hover my mouse over whomever i wish to heal and mash the macro w/o switching targets. I love it!

    Example: /ac "Cure" <mo>

Maybe what he's suggesting is a more customizable version of what we have now, where if he's targetting an enemy, if he casts a heal instead of it healing himself, it would go onto his focus target or something along those lines.

I used to have a setup in wow kinda like this. If I had an ally targeted one keybind would heal. If an enemy was targeted that same keybing would cast loghtning bolt. It was pretty awesome. I miss it

I would love to have context sensitive hotbars for healing and dps.

You can do the same thing with macros, I'm suggesting an option that would be customized in an options menu.

I just focus target the boss so I can switch to it easily if need be (along with seeing what its casting) and use party frames to target friendlies with my mouse. In the case of mob packs I either tab target, or if I've already healed the tank, then it brings up all of the mobs in the threat window which lets me easily click on the lowest one there. I've never really had issues with switching targets frequently. It's just part of the job and something you get used to.

How do you get context sensitive hotbars with macros? Also, dont macros prevent ability queueing?

I'm playing with gamepad so i'm to shure how it works with mouse/keyboard.

You got hardlock which is your primary target with the big healthbar, and softlock which is a temporary target. If you are hardlocked on a ally and softlock onto an enemy, you can cast either a heal that with hit the ally or an attack that will hit the enemy BUT the softlock will reset and need to be applied again for the next skill while the hardlock remains the same. Vise versa if enemy is hardlocked with the softlock on the ally being reset.

What would be nice is a player could hardlock both a friend of foe since the skills allready differnetiate which one can take what. This would make so that the healer no longer need to repeatedly softlock onto the same target for every skill used, which would make damadging and healing simultaneously a lot easier and fluid.

Usefull although macros aren't exactly the most reliable things in this game the lack of queueing and latency issues, so it would be a whole lot better if something more fluid was coded in.
