do macros stay locked on the account even after reinstall?

What about keybinds too?

Reason I'm asking is because I have a new pc rig coming in on Friday since my 5 year old PC died on me a few days ago. So basically new motherboard and the ssd will have to be reformatted to work.

So my question is the title and the first line. My brother says I can use his docking station and retrieve the necessary files if I really need to. Do I need a special folder that saves that information ( macros and keybinds and hud if possible )

If there is a special folder I need please let me know.

You can actually copy your entire FFXIV install to the new rig to save time if you want, but the important stuff to copy is in either:

%userprofile%\My Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn

or

%userprofile%\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn

Or another similar folder in "My Documents" or "Documents", depending on your windows version. The name of the "my documents" and "my games" folders may also change if you're using a non-english version of windows as well.

P.S. If you can boot that SSD on another computer, it's also possible to re-use your current windows install on the new computer, tho you'll have to reactivate it. Do a search on migrating a windows install if you're interested.
