Someone was already posting a screen in shout where Yoshi is sitting at huge screen, being in Idylshire surounded by people. He was in some old looking manor/castle.. judging by the furniture. So hope this is your proof.

If it's well known, then somebody else that would attempt to impersonate him in-game would know that as well and make that character a blm.

"Judge" gear which is GM only.
So it had to be at least a GM, doubt they would pose as Yoshi unless instructed to do so.
