Am I the only one that thinks fishing is way too RNG based?

Problem I have with fishing is getting a fishing quest from the Ixal. Could take 1-15 minutes getting those fish. Sometimes you're lucky and the first 2-3 fish are the quest fish, or you could lose a bunch of bait getting crap fish you don't need.

I am crafting my own X-Potions of Strength and when I am gathering Silver Sharks (I believe) in the three Eorzean hour that you can I only catch like three and you have to mooch. what a pain in the ass. When I am on Miner or Botanist I can get my "MAX" amount of material for that once in a day gathering time. This should be somehow better. Those fish should bite a lot during that hour. They made fishing "too real". No wonder Strenth potions are so damn expensive.

If you have a FSH retainer you can get 5 or was it 10 per hour.
