The trunks could have been made male+female. No reason to limit it to male only. Make it like those short hot-pants on females. It may not go with this year's female swimsuits, but it can be matched with bikini tops from previous years.

I don't get it. Whenever we get a seasonal event, they've always added the old seasonal items to the cash shop. A vendor in-game? Highly unlikely at this point since it's more economical for them to add it to the cash shop.
