Yep! That will be their goal with the matchmaking system they plan to implement - to match you against players of similar rating. Them dirty lalafells that were sitting on you will likely be matched against players of their own rating.

The only reason I think that rated 8vs8 should be implemented later on is because getting an 8 player premade for Wolves' Den is more tricky for many, and therefore, queue times may be very long after the first few days. I think Wolves' Den requires a popularity boost first with 3.1, so that once the Wolves' Den player base has increased significantly, there will be a lot more rated 8vs8 teams and shorter queue times.

Add more glamour and mounts for it, that seems to keep the pve crowds taking those beatings.

I'm sure they will participate if there's something worth getting (wasn't exclusive titles, mounts, glamours mentioned?). Hint: it will end up similiar to how people get first place in TT tournaments most likely.

Wolves' den:
Wolves's den 2(tentative) is planned for patch 3.2.
When WD 2 is released they will make adjustments to the ranking system and they are planning to release Rating matches and season matches. The season match is about deciding a champion for each season.

Just saw this at reddit, not sure if it was known already.

Just wish they'd add a 100% random anything goes mode. No rules, no ranks, no restrictions. Ya, there'd be the possibility of going against 3 heals and 5 smns which wouldn't end well, but that'd be just one toss of the dice. I just miss the good ol Ballista days where they threw in people together regardless of skill and gear. Had all the motivation in the world from day one to get better both skill and gearwise. But now? Too damn much catering ><; Iz like telling a mighty volcano: "In our pefect world, ye are allowed to ejaculate lava only once a century!"
