The issue you are having actually stems from your filesystem. What you will need to do is this
    1. Right click the My Documents/My Games folder.
    2. Go to Properties
    3. Click on the Security Tab.
    4. While I cannot tell you what goes on in this tab, as I am sure it is different than Windows 7 and 8.1, the goal is the same. Allow your current user Full access to the files.

The reason you need to do this is since Windows 10 is a new operating system, it locks out most of your "User" files such as My Documents, My Pictures and the like, making them read only, part of the security in NTSF files.

When you give your current "User" Full access to the folder in My Documents, you will be able to save your settings.
