    So out all of these ppl complaining i ACTUALLY took the time to craft the bsm ( all HQ)
    ( these r all my materials, no shared effort )
    - mainhand
    - offhand
    - 1 astral ring
    - body
    - head

    Its a nightmare i tell u.
    Sure having OP stats is awesome ( lol i don't need food besides cp food anymore )
    I gather for 10+ hrs straight ( with a few short breaks ) just so i could craft 2 pieces of gear. I have enough to make my 2nd ring tmrrw as i am burnt out.

    It takes A LOT of gathering just so u can play " diffuse the time bomb " for 10 mins.
    Each time i hq'd a piece i feel like i cleared t9 for the 1st time.
    Hands sweaty, nervous, breathing shallow lol cuz we all know what happens if u NQ / blow up a 2 star craft.

    I refuse to gear up another crafter with this type of grind.
    Im barely surviving gearing up my bsm.

    On Diabolos, Grade 1 Dissolvents have a rather low profit margin, especially when you factor in how many you need to make to really turn a respectable profit. End-products are always more efficient to make for profit, since you often have a much higher profit margin on them and you don't have to constantly craft to keep the money coming in. I've made almost no money on 50+ synthesis as an ALC. I'm funding my weekly scrips on level 50 starred items so I don't have to spend hours crafting every day.

    I'm one of those crafters that has never really gathered either, as I enjoy playing other content more, and crafting during bits of downtime. With the current system, I can't really do that efficiently, and what crafting is available to me doesn't allow me to make significant and efficient profit, especially when you consider the amount of time that would need to be spent gathering.

    Yes, you can make money selling component parts for other crafters. But it's horribly inefficient to do so, especially compared to the structure at 50, where low-end/mid-range crafters made components, spending more of their time but not needing as much investment in terms of capital and grinding, and high-end crafters could spend less overall time crafting in favor of selling end-products with higher profit margins.

    Understand what SE did? I've mentioned it several times but fundamentally they took ALL that collected time gearing, regearing, turning in for master books AND RESET IT so they didn't have to develop any recipes (which is why you have 20 people selling the same gear now, since there is virtually no way to profit on this stuff anymore.) They took *all* gather/craft progression and RESET it; you did all your master books and kept up with new gear for each ARR patch? SE says SCREW YOU, ...we have no recipes so go spend your days gathering crap to trade in for ingredients and maybe in 6 months we'll re address the system and see if we can provide you with your reward (items to sell?)

    I am so shocked that people don't get this, they didn't make a mistake, they reset the entire system. I stopped crafting. Soon i may just cancel cause I have nothing to do (unless I adhere to their crafting reset and installed crafting dictator aka the spendor vendor.) I mean of all the repulsive things to do, they took all the time anyone spent getting to the status of master crafter and reset it...

    I'm surprised you think it's similar i have a level 60 Dragoon and Warrior, the gear I used was replaced with tomes and drops those COMBAT jobs are now functioning; the crafting gear is not. to replace that gear .... we must have all gatherers at 60, we must have all crafts at 60, we must gather virtually all day, first to get scrips then to use them, then to turn them in, then to craft 1 part of 8/8 crafters 3/3 gatherers. A bit different yes?

    A bit different, but hardly non-functional.

    The crafting gear is absurdly difficult to get, entirely too many hoops to jump through, but it is certainly functional once you get it.

    Of course they reset it. New expansion= more levels and gear to grind out. You didn't expect your ARR gear and stats to be OP in a new expansion did you? How boring would that be? You have a head start on noobs and people that didn't level/gear crafting or gathering but you need to essentially start from scratch. Just like battle gear. Yeah it's good for a bit but sooner or later you have to say bye bye to that dreadwyrm gear you fought so hard to get and replace it with a green lol

    We knew a reset was coming. That's not the problem. The problem is the new system removed raid drops, switched material progression to gathers but then removed gather created gear. The combination tanked the economy because someone was TRYING to fix problems but made things 10x worse because of lack of foresight.

    You misunderstand what he means. What he means is they didnt really any recipes. Hes not incorrect with that. Crp and bsm has no 1* crafts. Most of the others have only a handful, nearly all of which are glamour/housing.

    In fact they filled the 51-60 logs with recipes for each DoW/DoM class despite giving all of those free items. Then they removed the level 60 recipes from the 56-60 log and placed them into the master books so that there would actually be recipes there.

    Without this CRP and BSM would have zero master recipes.
    Then they added 2* crafting which is essentially HW 1* crafting (because we have no actual 1* recipes) but which is heavily gated behind time and weekly caps.


    If you ask me red scrips was originally intended to be released as 1* and master book recipes. But apparently someone said: ''hang on, if you give right away people will find it in early and they would know we killed crafting''
