No offense but some people are so OVEr dramatic. "Quitting" (telling people you quitting is not gonna make others do or take your complaint seriously) the game cause you dissatisfied with a couple of FIXABLE things? That's just being pure CHILDISH.

Yes , crafting is there but RIGHT NOW there's not much to it but glamours. People keep forgetting the game just came out over a month and a bit and you expect that everything should out on day 1? I HONESTLY feel that crafting will get what we waiting for around 3.1 so right now we are gearing classes.

At the end of the day SE and Yoship DO listen to us and make things happen. Just look at Alex loot and the adjustment to red scrips. Is not like they don't do anything nor listen to us. But saying you quit the Game, how can anyone take you seriously? I wouldn't. Just GIVE IT TIME.

But that the thing they haven't fix anything or they haven't explained why they made this asinine system. If it was fixable why not fix it? This was some people main reason playing on this game and now lock to and system that dont make much since other than to keep you sub. It should not take me 11+ hours to GATHER mats just to make 1 piece of gear that may or may not HQ that only take 10 minutes tops to craft. Why should give it time if 1 maintenance is all they need to fix or remove this system?

Crafting and gathering was fun for me in 2.x (even the grind to get the Lucis and Masterbooks), but in 3.x it is zero fun. My sub runs out in September and I've cancelled the auto-renew on it. I don't raid, don't even like dungeons much, so the game for me was the crafting and gathering which they seem to want to kill off. Makes me sad, but on a positive note, since HW dropped my flat is tidier than it's been in two years!

I'm going to miss the lovely friends Ive made in the game as I am unlikely to keep in touch with any of them outside of the game. I'm older than most of them by *decades* so the main thing I have in common with them is the game.

I might resub in a patch or two, if there are some major changes.

I am not good with raiding and my desire to make statics over and over was never present so i divulged into crafting. To be able to craft i had to mine and garden to keep my gil supply up to lvl all my crafts. after i found a new step which was using my time to craft and now buy mats off the market board to keep the flow of gil in the economy flowing and my crafts profitable because trying to do both crafting and mining is a huge task even before expansion.
I like many went of us who went into the task of multi-melding individual pieces, then artisan came and we had to remeld again. all this time ppl want you to craft for them and pay next to nothing and also asking y do u need all that gil. its funny ppl dont think u can look at history of items and see they spent 500k for items for you to craft yet scoff when u say 100k for the craft. my point here is crafting is not cheap and ppl who gather also request gil for their time and mats just like us.

So, people should continue paying money for something they don't enjoy any more? As people have argued before, this is an expansion, not a new game. The honeymoon period of HW is over and now people are seeing the direction SE have decided to take. I don't craft myself, but I understand why people are upset. These are hours and hours of peoples lives they put in, and I can take a guess the grind to get there wouldn't have been fun. I'd never be able to do it myself.

The end game is split into this.

1. Raiding
2. Crafting/Gathering
3. PVP
4. Existing.

If people are quitting the game because of what they've done to crafting, then SE do need to take it seriously.

Got me to give up on bothering with crafting/gathering. I'm looking at all these more-hardcore-than-me DoH/DoLs upset with how things are, and here I am with a fresh BTN. I'm not going to waste weeks and weeks just so I can get some gear to grind mats for crafters crafting gear for crafters.

The whole thing sounds fucked up, and I'd rather spend my time elsewhere than get into this mess. Playing as a DoM I'm self sufficient as is for all my needs for the content I'm doing, and my retainers bring in enough money to buy what consumables I need as is.

Fuck red scrips. Fuck favors. Fuck this. I don't even know why I bothered leveling a DoL if this is what the endgame is like.
