You forgot. The advancement token only drops 5% of the time. Just like roundstones.Running Sastasha NM 99 times is at least predictable. Let's make it so you have to turn in 10 minions from each of two HM dungeons (say, demon bricks and tight-beaked parrots) and the drop you got from the corresponding Alexander NM run for the week. Oh, and you're locked out of those dungeons for the week after you run them 20 times. That'll get you into one of the floors of Savage for one shot. And then you're auto-booted if you wipe once.
Also how to prove SE got lazy with favor gathering & possibly ignored 99% of ppl's suggestions?
THEY HAVEN'T FIXED THE BUFF TEXT OF CERTAIN FAVORS "YET"
I use matron favor dravanian hinterlands -> i get matron favor dravanian forelands with the trader ( miner ) favor buff icon.
Lmao how can SE still not see that huge text error despite them removing the azys lla favor. Its like they don't even care lol.
All I see thus far is SE screwing up on many important post 60 aspects for crafters, gatherers and combat ... They did fantastic with the story, the raid is good... and that's about ALL I can give them credit for.. A mmo expansion is supposed to be alot more then what we have been given thus my view of SE using HW to merely get subscription renewals and what I said previously in this thread.
I'm curious, anyone know if the Jpn side agree with these changes (late there of) or they like them?
I'm only capping/buying red scrips in the hopes that SE fixes favor.
The whole red scrip system is a failure. The crafting side of it isn't bad in itself, it's the ridiculous requirement for gathering that's the problem, with the outcome just being mediocre. I made myself the mainhand tool for BSM, which required 80 items to turn in (from gathering), which on average worked out to be 6.5 hours of solid mining/harvesting, (assuming you get 3 items per 15 minute favor, I've had friends get as low as 2.3 per 15 minutes so that would would out to be approx 8.7 hours of gathering) and for what? A tool that in order to be equal to a pre-made red scrip bought one, needs 4 melds of IV materia, or to be better requires 1 or 2 V materias. That's just plain awful no matter how you "justify" it. The same can be said for the DOW/DOM items. The time/cost ratio on these is so damn awful it's simply not worth getting them. My desire to craft is almost gone, I'm just waiting for either a fix to this incredibly poor thought out material requirement, or failing that, I'll just do the bare minimum.
Yeah, there's not enough ways to get scrip(all doing turnins, and crafting using your own materials) and the stuff you use to make the special 2 star stuff is just too hard to get. It's obviously gated, and obviously not fully implemented. There's also a weird dearth of certain recipes like potions n' stuff.
If you care this much about crafting in MMOs though, I donno where you're going. Vanguard's gone and that's the only game out there that made making things an actual system in and of itself.
Or the missing 1* recipes for a number of the classes. Its very odd they basically just skipped almost all of an entire tier of crafting.
Perhaps reminisce with a few old rpgs such as kotor or neverwinter nights. Crafting wasnt too elaborate in such games, but atleast it felt rewarding to make items.
Altho its offtopic; I feel that the RPG part of MMORPG is really missing these days. Not enough to customize.
It's strange that it's seemingly action mmos that allow you to mod your equipment, that have the most options available..

RPG != Customization.
This game does the RPG part very well. Most MMORPG's are MMO first and RPG a very distant third, fourth, or even fifth.
