But saying that, how can anyone take you seriously? I wouldn't.
At the end of the day SE and Yoship DO listen to us and make things happen. Just look at Alex loot and the adjustment to red scrips. Is not like they don't do anything nor listen to us. But saying you quit the Game, how can anyone take you seriously? I wouldn't. Just GIVE IT TIME.
So, people should continue paying money for something they don't enjoy any more? As people have argued before, this is an expansion, not a new game. The honeymoon period of HW is over and now people are seeing the direction SE have decided to take. I don't craft myself, but I understand why people are upset. These are hours and hours of peoples lives they put in, and I can take a guess the grind to get there wouldn't have been fun. I'd never be able to do it myself.
The end game is split into this.
1. Raiding
2. Crafting/Gathering
3. PVP
4. Existing.
If people are quitting the game because of what they've done to crafting, then SE do need to take it seriously.

Got me to give up on bothering with crafting/gathering. I'm looking at all these more-hardcore-than-me DoH/DoLs upset with how things are, and here I am with a fresh BTN. I'm not going to waste weeks and weeks just so I can get some gear to grind mats for crafters crafting gear for crafters.
The whole thing sounds fucked up, and I'd rather spend my time elsewhere than get into this mess. Playing as a DoM I'm self sufficient as is for all my needs for the content I'm doing, and my retainers bring in enough money to buy what consumables I need as is.
Fuck red scrips. Fuck favors. Fuck this. I don't even know why I bothered leveling a DoL if this is what the endgame is like.
To above poster, no. We have given time. I think two years is enough.
My bf, friends and I have all quit. I agree with most of this posts in here, crafting gear is useless and the grind is boring and ridiculous.
I could go on and on but I'll just stop here. People already expressed how I feel in this thread.
As I've said earlier, this was intentional. The system isn't broken by error, it was destroyed. SE simply did not put crafter recipes for post 60 in their first expansion. It's an awful thing to do to all us who spend countless hours (re)gearing our 8 crafters , melding, and everything else that led us to this point..
The expansion was touted as a massive change, truth be told.... it is a gimmick for SE to cash in on those who invested time and needed to continue...
Hours of eye candy and leveling to 60, the story line and now, Alexander... Crafting was not addressed so they decided to halt the system till they are good and ready to develop content for crafters. I see it as pure subscription profit (the entire expansion) given the fact that upon reaching Master of the Hand there are virtually ** NO ** recipes that are usable or profitable. Did you want to craft for the pure enjoyment of the crafting system too? SE's answer is TOO BAD. Crafting was not on our deadline priority list, now use this absolutely ridiculous, time devouring red scrip system to gear up for 6 (give or take) months because we are not ready to develop recipes yet. Want to craft now? get 500 Million Gil and craft a few items.
The patch is simply a plot to divert the attention of gullible people, who mean well but did not experience the functional system that was at it's peak in 2.4.. The conclusion of the red scrip exchange is already known so I don't have to explain in detail how outright ridiculous it is and obvious it was created to stall out crafters till they are ready to add recipes.
I'm reminded of an old and famous newspaper headline from the 70's during a financial crisis.... [Gerold] Ford to N.Y: DROP DEAD
SE to Crafters: Drop Dead

When the fundamental problem is bad design, and compounded by not acknowledging the problem or giving an outline of a plan to fix it, then no, the problem is not "fixable".
I told a company-mate that this crafting system is a system that should have been laughed out of the room and filed with a "do not implement, ever".
Faith is finite. Pushing crafting in well past alexander cost faith. Putting an arbitrary 2 day offset on crafting that just messes with people's heads costs faith. Every time you say "trust us, we have an (unelaborated on) plan", it costs faith. Every time you fix something that's minor but don't acknowledge the more important issues, it costs faith. And putting a system as messed up as this one in place? It costs a LOT of faith.
My tank is running on empty now. And it seems like mine isn't the only one.
I have acquired 100s of millions of gil and can afford to craft what ever i feel to but this expansion has been a kick in the face for a lot of existing crafter's who like relic grinder's thought there would be some continuation with a few challenging steps towards new gear. instead now we are faced with becoming gatherer's which clearly most of us don't like to do, and it's not just gathering its gated time gathering..i mean really.if i wanted to started over a grind to be able to craft i would of just tried another mmo. i love this game but they honestly need to review the scripts system. not all server's are on the same lvl as i looked at the mb of gila and easily found most of the mats but why should i have to transfer to enjoy something thats supp to be for everyone..
They should just gate raiding with 11 hrs of lv1 mobs before entering the boss fight and see how raiders feel. Also give them 10 min to kill the boss and based on speed of kill a chance of gettin a 190 or i210 item because that's what SE is doing to crafting.
Best reply! LoL
To unlock Alexander Savage you have to run Sastasha NM 99 times every week!
