Proper openers have been posted elsewhere and just because you or a few friends you know don't get an increase in dps stance dancing doesn't mean the mashed out numbers are wrong. You ever take the time to think that maybe you just haven't spent the time playing the job that we have? Or maybe you aren't good at the job in general. All I've seen posted is a bad opener and tool tips. Sorry if I came off rude but the replies to Lav and Aiurily were really poor.

You want to use Rapid fire inside of Wildfire. Since it is your opener you can figure it out. You also only want to use one oGCD between GCD's while using rapid fire anymore and you are clipping and wasting the effectiveness of Rapid fire. Pot is preferable if used alone. When used alone it will cut into a GCD as is.. pairing it with another oGCD is brutal

Your opener is poorly used especially rapid fire before wildfire is a huge dps loss.

Ok all of you want to whine and complain, I'm gonna start being rude. First off if your not beating 1100 dps without food, pots, or party then you aren't beating me. So far every rotation I've found is doing about the same damage as mine. Not more.

If your going to criticize, then come with actual facts and advice not just "Figure it out yourself". Right now I have no reason to believe any of you, and honestly I recognize some of you from other mch posts where you never add anything of value to the conversation, or topic.

This is now me being rude. If your the type of individual that can't tell someone being rude from someone not being rude, as a certain individual above can't.

You would be very amiss if you expect to post a guide without it being under the scrutiny of your peers. We don't sit here comparing openers and discussing, sometimes arguing, what is best for each class to wave around our e-peens. We do it so that we can compare facts and data that will help us reach a conclusion on what is best for our class. That way we can come up with a guide which has mostly correct information and will be a good manual for new players.

The problem arises when people release guides with bad information, we have to quickly deflect that information otherwise you will have players who will read this guide and accept it as truth and then we have a whole bunch of subpar MCH's running around slinging their gun doing no damage. This effect echoes throughout the community and in the end we may suffer as a result. Bettering the community with better guides will always help push us forward.

You didn't even give us a timestamp to go off of here. I mean you could mean 1100 DPS at the 30 second mark or at the 5 minute mark. We have no idea what you mean here and I have no idea what "beating" you has to do with anything. Gear, timing and RNG can all alter a parse dramatically making it hard to gauge one skills on a test dummy. Since MCH is a tunnel-vision class too, I think trying to show off your skill on a test dummy is pretty stupid.

First, this is contrary to your statement about theorycrafting. One of the reasons we theorycraft is to produce factual information that is devoid of RNG. There are of course other merits to it but essentially you theorize something and then math it out to see if it lines up. We have done both of these and some of the information can be found in the main MCH thread. You were told to go figure it out, because it is YOUR opener. I could give you mine but then you would claim that is "wrong" and mine is very similar to that which Hax and Auiri use (Minor variance in QR position). If you want to learn how to optimize, if you want to make a guide or if you want to become a better player you should learn how to figure things out either by researching, theorycrafting or repeated practice.

Lastly, for your argument regarding Theorycrafting(Mathcrafting) vs. Actual practice. It only holds true if there are factors outside of a players control such as latency. A good example is Raiton vs. Fuma. Raiton on paper is always better but because of latency Fuma will often come ahead. In this instance spending your fishing phases with Gauss off will probably be a DPS gain when incorporating latency.

Poor guy/lady just wanted to be nice and upload a guide, and people went kinda rude on him/her. Granted, she/him could've responded better and that 1100 dps thing wasn't needed.

I feel suggestions without coming off rude would've just been better
