Best on Server?

How does one actually claim the title as"Best ___ on the server"? I absolutely love my Astrologian, and get told all the time I'm one of the better ones people have seen, but I want to be the best on my entire server. (Jenova)

How does that work? Is that like a thing where the mogstation keeps track? Or do we just parse and once we can't get any better we simply say we're the best? But even that is BS because HPS isn't quite like DPS. Low HPS can be good if you have a good team, so...yea. I'm really curious...any help would be appreciated!

There's not really a tangible way to track who is the "best" at each job. I guess the closest thing would be to join a hardcore progression FC and get world firsts in cutting edge content like Alexander (Savage), but even that is a team effort. It still requires everyone in the team to be very very good at their job though, so that's one way to earn renown.

Jokes aside, make it a goal to be a part of server first clears, and you'll be the best. Anyone can reach that level with enough dedication, practice, and understanding. Good luck! It makes me feel warm and fuzzy when players aim high.

LOL, I like people who know what they're doing at end game. But personally I feel like for Progression, etc. We should all TRY to be the best at our jobs.

Also, speaking from other MMO experience, the players who are thought of as 'best' 'important' 'amazing' by their server, usually aren't as good as someone else in a much tinier guild, who keeps themselves to themselves and don't socialise, brag on forums or guild hop. Is a popularity contest title, not a serious one.

i would say the easiest way is to become well known on the server for being a run saver, or generally better ast then the others.

I never see any Astrologians on my server. So I assume i'm the greatest.
