I have lost about 900 red scripts since this started and I still cannot obtain them.
Starting to think HW was the worst thing to happen to this game.

This is why the Favors should have been on the BLUE scrips, not the red ones.
yaayyy I need less mats to cap. -insert sarcasm-
Seriously, the issue isn't how long it takes to cap. People were saying it took them only 30min to cap on red scrips BEFORE this "fix." Yeah, okay, forcing people to be omnicrafters is ridiculous (SE's excuse for a lack of endgame content would be 'level another class,' even crafting). I don't like that. It makes zero sense to hardcore wall off all the gear and even crafted gear which is perhaps not even that great to be honest (..at least for my SCH it sucks..). I have zero motivation to try endgame crafting or red scrips. The only thing I like about it is how pretty some of the crafter gear is. But even that's BS... if they would tell us to level another class give us more inventory space if you're seriously gonna give each DoH/DoW/DoM/DoL its own individual effing gearset.
Also, just.. remove the red scrip system. Take the cap off. Or double it. It's a horrendous way of trying to prolong bare minimum endgame content..

Getting all i180 on a miner would take 9 weeks. Tokens earned on 10th and 11th week would probably be saved to gather favor for OH, Belt and Accessories to save gil instead of buying crafted gears directly from MB. And to hire a crafter, that miner has to earn a good amount of gil to compensate on the service and the redscrip of crafting. And assuming, we all be casual without a need to rush anything, by 10th and 11th week, these 'casual' crafters will save the redscrip for themselves for i170 gears. So with the theory of yours, it would probably take 14 to 15th week to have a good amount of ooids and trade flowing in MB EXCEPT by then 3.1 is coming or is patched and the end-gears would probably be more obsolete that it is on 3.0. YES! Lets all be casuals and not whine because that would be the BEST!
I highly doubt you will need to have a full set of the iLv170/180 gear to be able to handle any new crafts/nodes or w/e they plan to release in 3.1, actually I highly suspect 3.1 won't be much more than a Glamour/New Food Patch.
I think it will Introduce 2 Star Culinary Crafts and new Glamours along with increase the Red Scrip Cap and possibly the Favor Drop Rate and/or lower the Tokens necessary to get the 180 gear.
Well yesterday after missing a week of doing red crafting scrips i managed to cap in no time with a decent item.
It came up with birch composite bow and it gave me 45 per hq turn in. So instead of making 24 of them I only did 10 so it saved me a lot of money and time.
Thank you for the buff SE! it does help 0/
Wat crafts could se possibly make by 3.1 that will require 800+ craft/ 750+ control and 450 cp. More crafting gear? So what would we craft. Raiding gear for alex savage? Loooool nah
Its just gonna be glamours, furniture etc cuz honestly if they replaced the 2* MH/ OH tht fast ppl r gonna be like nope i give up this is ridiculous.
The expansion just came out so I'm pretty sure we just getting prepared for the next big crafting gear to come that will need a he'll load of craft control and cp.
Give it time that's all I'll probably say for now. I'm lvl all to 60 getting all my masters sorted for October.

Let's look at previous patches for the answer.
2.0: Erething new and fun, first raid, dungeons.
2.1: Raid is being cleared by decent number of people. New 'hard' mode dungeons. 'Catch up' raid (CT). New recipes
2.2: Next raid, new dungeons, previous token tier unlocked, New primals. New recipes.
2.3: Next catch-up raid, new dungeons, new primals, new recipes.
2.4: Next raid, new dungeons, previous token tier unlocked, New primals. New recipes
2.5: next catch-up raid, new dungeons, new 'primal'. New recipes
2.1 was largely a 'catch-up' patch for SE as well as they were still hammering out things they had planned for 2.0. Given that Heavensward was all their current work we can assume their own 'catch-up' isn't a factor (or at least hope.)
This means in 3.1 we can expect, at the bare minimum: New dungeons, new primal, new recipes. Alexander Normal is basically the 'catch up' tier so if we get another source of not-quite-end-game gear, I'd be surprised. The crafting/gathering section of the game was meant as an optional boon but I really doubt it's going to see so much neglect after the gating mechanisms they put in place.
This is the primary difference between those enjoying the system, those tolerating the system, and those claiming they're going to quit over it. It's a matter of who is looking forward to what's coming, who is curious, and who is dreading. They have added in a multitude of new systems they can tweak. "What can they possibly add" is answered with "What won't they?"
