It is based on the ingredients and difficulty - first of all, almost all if not ALL of the cooking red scrip items are normal items...where as ALL or almost all of the other jobs have to craft MASTER ONE STAR ITEMS. Those items often contain many, many more expensive crafted bits than the cooking recipes (from other jobs I might add, cooking makes almost all of there own stuff with no reliance on other job crafts) - seems more balanced to me - cooking was right with the amount of scrips and the other jobs were way, way less than they should have been for the base items involved to craft them.

They change the amount of scrips you get per turn(the least of the laundry list of problems with this system)

The weekly cap remains the same (450 Red Scrips). Most crafted turn-ins, excluding CUL, now provide significantly more scrips per-item, as do all Gathering turn-ins.

The fix was aimed more for casual players or single-crafters that previously had to spend a over a million gil of mats (crafters without CUL, CRP) or a dozen hours (single-class gathering).

Gave up on crafting this patch and probably gathering as well since the supply ooids slowly building up in MB with only a few bought per day.

Welcomed the fix but its really is not required and is wasn't enough.

If you go back and read the thread they responded to, about red scrips not being casual, cost was a big thing. This change helps with that quite a bit. This was an actual problem, even if it did not apply to everyone.

It is now a bit easier for casual crafter/gatherer's to gear up, but for what? They won't able able to afford 2* mats anyway.

When a miner finishes getting his scrip gear...what is he going to do? Mine favors so he doesn't waste his scrips. A crafter gearing with red scrips will also be ready to craft whenever they decide to add new content. They get to do this bit by bit each week without feeling like they need to rush or miss out. There is nothing to miss out on currently, so they get to take their time.

This lack of an immediate goal may suck for people that are usually at the top of crafting, but that group is the actual minority.

this is the reason why they need to get rid of or find another use for favors item! There is NO reason a crafter should have to wait on gatherers to gear up in ordere to do their gear progression. Thats like having it set up here a healers cant start gearing till the tanks are finished gearing themselves. SE just do us a favor and remove favors from the game.
