Field Zone 4 is Black Shroud / Gridania

Field Zone 5...anyone know which one this is?

FZ1 = Limsa Lominsa and La Noscea

FZ2 = Thanalan / Ul'dah

FZ3= ??? (Coerthas or Mor Dhona)

FZ4 = Black Shroud / Gridania

FZ5 = ??? (Coerthas or Mor Dhona)

I cannot remember which of those two are which...

I don't think its quite that simple, each aetheryte has its own zone, Uldah being Zone 1, Black Brush = Zone 2, Dry Bone = Zone 3, Horizon = Zone 4.

Blue Fog seems to look like its Zone 5 and Broken Water Zone 6.

This makes me believe that The North Thanalan image is designed to replace Blue Fog, which makes total sense seeing as the crystal tower would be right between Thanalan and Mor Dhona.

Looking at the black shroud image there is nothing on there that looks remotely like Gridania, so if Zone 4 is Tranquil it could possibly something which will take the place of that zone.

Just a guess, but it seems to me that the jar shaped images at the top lefthand of the Shroud map is the Sylph village.

I stand corrected. That does look like the kanji for north. Sounds credible seeings as how Northern Thanalan is on the border of Mor Dhona, and it'd make sense to have crystal-related stuff there.

Oh man... The lore nut inside me is in shambles. Just more signs that we can kiss the already established lore goodbye. I really, REALLY wish they'd introduce a sort of "phasing" system like they did with Guild Wars and Cataclysm(I think) where there's some sort of storyline "trigger" that takes you from the original to the "new" world. Sort of like FFVI's world of balance to ruin.

That would seem like a good way to bridge the "peaceful" Eorzea to the "Wartorn broken" one.

They do intend to link stories with each change. They aren't gonna throw them in without warning, you know. That would be stupid.

I just would like it if they would keep Ishgard intact, though. I'd like to visit that city someday. :P

Oh, boy! Just yesterday I reached the last zone to explore that I was missing...and now a whole new world! Feels like we got a LOT more to explore for the next months! Kudos for that!

It does kinda look like they differentiated the various parts of the Black Shroud and the other zone, which means no more massive zones that are copy/paste of the same things over and over. Can't wait to explore them.

Honestly these images without explanations don't give us that much to speculate on so let's wait for them to buy a scanner or something before everyone goes berserk...

If he really wanted to share these pictures it would take 4.68 seconds to upload them to a file host and share them on the lodestone.

But screw that, just use your imagination! Isn't that the cop out they usually give?

It's from an internal document, it may not even be finalized because then you'd more than likely complain it's not what they showed us when they do complete it.
