In my line of work, saying you're working on something, but having no back up visuals to "prove" you're actually doing the work isn't good enough. So yes. They are just showing a quick little tease of "see?? we're actually doing this and it's more than a few notes on paper"

OMG, they are working on something they've already said they are working on? Wow! I couldn't have figured that out without them showing me a picture of the concept design that I can't make ANYTHING out of.
