Because people fear that groups will troll with votekick and lock out players from using duty finder again.
But it's probably just a "cant rejoin same party again" lockout, instead of a general duty finder lockout

But knowing SE, I wouldn't be surprised if prohibiting the player from joining a party means that they can't summon their chocobo.

People automatically assuming majority of the FFXIV community are trolls and will kick people for no reason other than 'lol just because.' It's basically the same gloom and doom people went crazy about with the Loot Master system.

If you're kicked without warning or unfairly (newbie), report those players. However, if you were kicked because you weren't meeting the expectations of majority of the group (BLM only casting Blizzard, for example) and ignored the requests of the party to improve, then you can't report them. You were kicked because they thought you were trolling (that's how "I play how I want" is seen).

FYI I got kicked as healer the other day when the tank sprinted ahead and got himself killed when I was equipping loot.

While i would not kick you, your first priority as a healer is always keeping everyone alive.
Yes, that means running after crazy tanks before equipping loot.
