Fastest way to farm for fenrir?

I REALLY want this mount, but seem to have such a horrible time getting MGP. whats the best/fastest way to farm for em? I've been trying to get as many triple triad cards as possible in the hopes a good deck can be made to farm. Im sitting at around 40 cards i think?

farm indolent garlean for aprox 150 hours

a 2 star beasttribe deck works good, a 3 star scion deck works better

you can also get free 40-50k mgp every 2 weeks if you have a friend for wintrading during the tournament
else: always do your cackpots and pray

Fenrir is an awesome mount. I haven't actually seen it on my server.

I gave up on it, tbh... The very first time I saw the beast in Snowcloak, I was like "I WANT this as a mount, look at it, even its back is shaped appropriately"... and when they put it in GS, "YES I'm gonna get it!"... but since then, the total amount of MGPs I've had is somewhere just below 180k. GATEs are meh (and I have better things to do than spend all my days in GS), and I simply can't be arsed about either TT or chocobo racing. Way too mind-numbingly grind, with way broken/cheated systems, and way too little return. Neither time, nor patience, nor, really, mood/motivation. And since HW, it's become even more obsolete, not being able to fly. (NOT asking for it, as it would be way too senseless, imo... Don't even agree with making those stupid ponies fly, either.)

I agree with indolent imperial suggestion. You can make a decent chunk of mgp off him with the mentioned deck. Also, with the mini cactpot being able to be done 3 times a day, increases chances of the 10k. I would also do the triple triad tournys. I usually could snag about 10k+ prize doing it when it is up.

I got my Fenrir sometime after I got all the minions and the Adamantoise mount from just doing King Elmer and GATEs, but with all the stuff to do nowadays, it's hard to justify grinding.

If you REALLY want it though, it's about the same amount of time I think for both King Elmer and Indolent Imperial but there's less grinding for cards with the Elmer strategy which is what I wanted to avoid. The drop rate for Gaius is so much lower than the one for Bahamut so I think it evens out in the end even though the MGP reward is slightly lower from Elmer. I also got quite a bit of MGP from doing Chocobo Racing, but my main goal was the chocobo helm and I kinda just ended up with 300k+ MGP on the way there.

The Grind for Fenrir is REAL.

I've been grinding the Imperial for less than a month now on my main and have brought in about 300k. But that's only because I also do minicactpots and pray for the best. Though my real time to shine is on Tourneys. I've been able to rake in at least 30k MGP when unranked, but that's with using all of my available tourny points.

I also always have the MGP bonus from FC buffs up whenever I go to farm the Imperial, those extra digits go a long way. The MGP FC bonus can also be applied to Minicactpots, Jumbo Cactpots, and Triple Triad Tourny winnings. About the only thing it doesn't count for is when you sell cards to the NPC for MGP.

With Indolent Imperial, like others have said you can win EASILY, like so easily with the two start Beatsmen deck. My win ratio out of 100 is 90/100. Even if you come to a draw on Imperial you still get more back than the fee you payed to play him. Also you have to be really trying hard to fail if you want to loose to Imperial; he's that easy. You also get a lot of cards that you can sell back to the MGP Trader. They may not be Gaius cards (I've only gotten 3 Gaius cards ever.) but they still add up if you play Imperial for a while.

Do the new card NPC's in HW offer better MGP reward than the imperial? I haven't got around to playing against them yet in HW zones but logically I would of expected the reward to be higher than ARR zone TT NPC's simply because they bound to be harder to beat.

the npc in sea of clouds is very easy to beat if you have the right strategy, she always uses the same cards with order rule and grants 124 mgp per win
