    The Cathedral in Azys Lla

    Hey all.

So I was flying around Azys Lla the other day and was looking at the area known as "The Cathedral". No quest ever mentions it, and it has a weirdly non-allagan architectural structure that is unlike any of the rest of the places in Azys Lla.

I had a look inside (I have no screenshots at the moment unfortunately), and there seem to be what look like symbols of Azeyma all around the building.

    Azeyma ... Azys Lla ...

Was it ever confirmed if the Allagans believed in the Twelve like the rest of the Eorzeans we know? Or do they just have atheism (though personally I'm always a little shakey on Atheism in fantasy settings where gods are tangible).

Maybe Azeyma was being studied in terms of prayer? She isn't the most notable of the Twelve (that title probably goes to either Nophica or Thaliak), and most of the lore we have on her is from the Belah'dians or from the AST quests.

So ... what do we think this weird building is about? I haven't done any FATEs in Azys Lla so if a FATE ever makes reference to it please let me know.

EDIT: I didn't realise there was a topic already on this ... should this be closed, or is it okay (didn't realise because the thread title of the other thread didn't talk about the cathedral specifically).

By your edit I see you've found our main discussion about this so far (good job!) but I'll summarize, anyway, and we can close/move/whatever this discussion as is best.

We've recently discovered that the ruins in Azys Lla can be compared with those in Cartenau and Mor Dhona to reveal that Qarn was likely built by the early Allagans. We know that Allag was once spiritual, but that many abandoned theology in pursuit of technology. We also know that Allag, for some reason, saw fit to carve the symbols we now use for the Twelve on runestones in their age, though it is unconfirmed if they meant the same to them as they do to us.

    The hints are pretty intriguing.
