As for the Warring Triad, my first thoughts were of the Magus Sisters... But then the entirety of As Is Law just reminds me of the high tech areas in FF IV so I couldn't help myself. ;p

I think it's origin is Allagan related, but I believe it also plays a story in the Vanu Vanu mythology. If some of you guys recall, in one of the quests where you have to help a Vanu's brother become an adult in their tribe, there's a scene with a Magitek claw. The Elder makes mention that in their lore, there is a large black beast that flies through the skies, with large claws.

I'm thinking that's a reference to the UFO. It's massive, dark, and has giant claw-like fins. It's a pretty good match. And considering it's whale-like shape, I'm thinking it might also explain Bismark's origin in their mythos as well, as it might be one of it's darker toned brethren.

Nah. The Warring Triad were a very important plot element in FF6, completely unrelated to the Magus Sisters. I can very easily see the plot of said Triad in this game, mirroring FF6, as, once again, there is a highly technological empire with their sights set on their power.

I'm pretty sure the people who said Coil was a Primal themed raid and not an Allagan either skipped the whole story or never played it. I'm not going to say that there isn't a primal theme too, but both the Allagan's and Bahamut's stories are kind of intertwined.

Not sure if someone else posted this but Yoshi indirectly confirmed that UFO to be the new 24-man raid in the live letter a few weeks ago. We'll find out what it is in 3.1 but the most popular theory is that it's the Lunar Whale from FFIV (it looks very similar) and may be the means of transport we use to go to the moon.
