Is there a better way to go about attempts at farming, other than the Duty Roulette?

I've spent far too long trying, and repeatedly trying to get the Ultros minion. As it unfortunately goes, DPS wait a long time, and on The Dragon's Neck it seems to be even longer. I'm getting tired of going through the hours of waiting only to be dropped by others or finish the Trial and have my rolls for the loot be: 1, 3, or 4; or some other low number.

So I was wondering if there is absolutely no other option for me. I've tried forming parties or hunting down linkshells, but non have proved to be a successful venture with me. So am I basically doomed to continually repeat this process until someone is generous enough to just let me outright have the Minion or I can actually perform a successful roll for once?

Undersize party it? and just make sure someone jumps off before you all get knocked off to avoid the reset is the only advice I can give you since people seemed incapable of doing the imp phase the whole two times it is "required" in DF groups anyway. But whenever I've ran it its always been a near instant disband so you are probably doomed.

What me and my FC did was form a party of 8 and run it 8 times and then everyone took turns getting theirs. Nowadays I don't know. If you are rich you can Loot Master PF it and offer up a bounty to player to run with you...that is about the best you can probably do right now. I would help you out for free but I am on Behemoth.

Unfortunately the Free Company I am in just isn't large enough or high enough level to take on that Trial as a group. Definitely not rich enough either, but I guess I'll just keep tossing my hat in the ring.

Levelling a job which moves through the queues quicker absolutely shouldn't be dismissed as an option. Sounds like a long ordeal, but when you consider that it won't be the last time you need it, it may just become the biggest time saver by far. Tomestones being the main thing. They won't care what class you earned those with, you can upgrade whatever you like.

You could try asking at the start before the fight if people would pass on the minion for you. Might be a long shot but a lot of peopl just roll on loot out of habit more than want, and the item in question has no resale value. Asking after something drops to have it on the otherhand even if it is a gauranteed drop will usually earn you a lot of spite rolls.

I'm wondering if this is still possible, i've tried it more than dozen times now that after 3.0.. Players will get knocked back even if they are stunned by intently jumping out of the arena, so timing the stun isnt even possible anymore due to getting knocked back with or without stun debuff..
