    Sch BiS ?

I can't find a good thread on this anywhere since the lackluster of crit has been noticeable on AF2/Savage on Body/Weapon. I was wondering if anyone had any idea on what the BiS gear for Sch is now?

So far I *think* it would be:
Savage = gloves belt pants ears ring
AF2 = Hat, feet, neck, wrist

No idea on what body or weapon to use.

I will be upping weapon next week though because usually weapon is always first upgrade on new tomes.

crit stat is wonky this expansion. you dont need near as much crit as you did pre 3.0 to get the same returns. So you wont see near as much crit on gear because of that. That being said Spell Speed and det seems to tbe best stats currently for nearly all healers even sch. also piety is nothing to scoff at as heals cost a lot now youw ill need MP to get through longer fights with more intensive healing and aehteflow to regen that much more MP.

There is no reason for a SCH to get spell speed as we have no HoT outside of Eos' Whispering Dawn. The return for cast time reduction and GCD reduction on spell speed is terrible. BiS SCH stats are still Weapon dmg > Mind > Crit > Det > SS = Piety. If you can't get Crit, go for Det. If that isn't available either, get SS or Piety.

This is probably your BiS list here.

For food, I would say the best is Baked Pipira Pira, gives crit and a bit of ACC so that you will miss less, as SCH should have plenty of time to dps. Otherwise you have Frozen Spirits(Det & Piety) and Hot Chocolate(SS & Piety).

lol. SS supposedly helps scholars out in dpsing, if there is any impact from SS.

I'm 100% sure you can't get all of the stats out of Hot Chocolate, so the better alternative would be Ishgardian Tea.

People have done the math on the effects of SS on DoTs and HoTs through testing and it is pretty abysmal looking. I remember reading somewhere that 1 point of spell speed was like 0.001 increase in healing/damage. It may be less, it may be more, but honestly it doesn't even seem remotely worth it. Sure we can dps, but remember we are a healer first. So with that in mind, we gain the least as a healer from the SS stat compared to the other 2 healers with their HoTs. Also, at 210 we can get all the stats out of Hot Chocolate, but you are probably correct in that for now, Ishgardian Tea would be a better and more cost effective.

If you could please link to the post that shows this research, that would actually be great. I'm unable to find any decent healer resources or testing that I'm actually able to pull information out of.

There is the best I could find, but this is for DoTs. I can only assume that it is something similar for HoTs.
