    One thing about the old FF's, even tho dark main was S&S So was a lot of other classes which was stupid. Also i like the 1 wep 1 class thing cause it leads to more better looking WS. Now if they let everyone use whatever wep they wanted we would be back to day 1 of this game w/ bland looking WS everywhere cause they have to make the motions the same -.-


    As for jobs and classes i really hope they don't add more jobs onto classes cause they can get alot more creative if they add new classes w/ jobs to go with them. for example GLA turning into dark would be stupid for one reason GLA does not alot of DDing tools nor can it use magic naturally. So making a Class that will be its own that will have a set of skills for dark, and then making that said class change into dark would be better. Like i hope they never do that lvl 20 cnj and 20 thm = rdm rather them make an fencer class that changes into RDM

    Well if you check in-game, all one-handed weapons actually appear under the Off-hand slot though you just can't equip them that way yet. I'm assuming dual-wield will come in somewhere down the line as a trait or just as something a given class can do.

    I think the same about what you're talking about. I like the armory system, the part where you can use one classes skill on another, but I don't like how they do the weapons. Never have.

    great sword would be a great way for gladiator to become more of a DD when Paladin is introduced. Since Paladin will become the preferred tank, giving gladiator a 2 handed higher damage weapon will give that class better flexibility.

    I'm pretty sure the plan is to remove daggers from GLD and create a separate class for daggers (thief). As far as warriors go, I'm pretty sure they've always used great axes in FF games. 1-handed axes will probably used for a viking or something like that.

    As for dark knight, sword and shield is the classic equips. But FFXI gave them Great Sword and Scythe. I don't really care which they get but it will most likely be Scythe, as Great Sword could be use for other jobs/classes, and scythe would be pretty hard to pass off for any other jobs/classes.


    Yeah the armory system limits your classes by weapon. But if they work the jobs correctly you could have different weapons for the same job. It just so happens that your skills will have to be adjusted accordingly (which makes perfect sense)

    If I'm a warrior and I have a Great Axe, it makes sense that I have all of the marauder skills. But if I then switch to sword/shield, it makes more sense that I have all of the Glad skills. The only problem with this is that your warrior weapon skills seem to be great axe specific. I just hope they don't limit their jobs to one weapon (which is what it looks like so far) but we have too little information to really tell what the heck they're going to do.

    How would Blue Mage be introduced? They too are capable of using swords..

    I think sword is really the most flexible single-weapon you could have..
    Leaves open room for Paladin, as well as a swordsman fighter job... and even sword magic jobs (Mystic? Red Mage)

    This is where it get's complicated. I picture blue mage as something like this..
