From my experience, just keeping at it.

Fates are lowest value bust fastest to do, World of Darkness is thr highest Value but the slowest to clear not to mention the lack of skill going on now.

Sycrus Tower + Fated + Alexandrite maps is what I've beem doing. But there doesnt seem to be a "Fast" way to any phase of Relic.

It's 4 per FATE. If you contribute enough to a FATE to earn Gold, you can fly off to another FATE and do that while the other commoners complete it. In this way, you can earn 4-5 Golds in the time it would take to see 1 Gold to completion. This is best done while queuing for a HM Primal that has bonus light. Sometimes I can do 3-5 FATES, earning 12-20 lights between Garuda HM's which give 16 (and consequently take about the same amount of time).

What grinds my gears is that Expert Roulette used to give Bright light, but since now that Expert Roulette consists entirely of HW dungeons, this no longer applies (nor does any HW dungeon give light), which sucks. I suppose however this was done to prevent someone from brining the group's potential down by gimping themselves and using an i110 weapon for a fight where most are i170+, but still

Grinding out light for my Zeta I usually get very close to the full 40 lights for my new mahatma (should be 60-80 light for Nexus) by doing High Level, Leveling and Trial Roulette. Not sure if it's the most efficient method, but it's less grindy than 200 Garudas

Honestly, I find Keeper of the Lake to be the best. High Pay Out, Fast Clears, Easily Compleated. Best thing to do for a happy medium between Garuda's ease and CT Raids' pay out.
