    Me too, same error. Every... day. Since W10 upgrade. Seems to go away when I reboot. but returns when I quit and log back in

    I too have this same issue. It stops the launcher and i can restart to get to the log screen but it returns when i get that far. I'm hoping that is answered for us soon.

    You might find help in this notice posted by SE concering turning off SSL 3.0 and making sure TLS 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 is turned on in your Internet Explorer's settings.

    If that dosen't resolve the issue you could try adding "frontier.ffxiv.com" to your firewall's expception list or momentarily turning off your anti-virus' real-time protection when starting the launcher.

    i fixed my issue. I run windows 10 right now, so windows defender was turned on which i didn't think would be an issue cause i had windows firewall disabled (uses kasperksy). I went through what Sloprano above me suggested and found that my default internet already met the specifications. So with nothing to do (i was about to pull out my hair) i disabled windows defender and boom, it works just fine. Umbasa....

    Now i wish Verizon or SE would give that server in Montreal some freaking attention.
