Any spell added to PLD needs to work like Flash and not like Clemency.

I mean, it's a magical light, you could name the trait something like "solar flash" or whatever and then just not think about the implications of the fact you're probably blasting everyone around you, including your party, with ionizing radiation.
Sword Oath change wasn't intended to be for main-tank capability - I've tanked in Sword before and it can be done as is; the goal of the 5% damage increase is to bring Paladin up as an off-tank currently pushing as hard as I possibly can on a lv60 training dummy only nets me roughly 850dps over 2min period (scrub git gud?) but with the long recast on Fight or Flight Paladin's off-tank damage potential atrophies very quickly. We need (in my opinion) a 5% increase to damage or some other change to make our off-tank damage viable.
Shield Swipe changes were listed precisely because it's now a DPS loss - using it to get TP back but it still requires procs (which means main tanking) so by including a Regain effect for several seconds it makes it a true TP recovery tool without overpowering it.
Royal Authority - just an idea.
Clemency really needs changes most of all - fix it's cast & recast times. (begs Yoshida)
I agree that adding a damage component to Flash would homogenize the tanks too much - but I do think our enmity modifiers could be looked at and adjusted.

(On MT damage ShO) Yeah I agree we are lowest - but not to the degree everyone on this forum seems to think. I generally run at 600-650 DPS in ShO in AS1 and I don't feel like I'm detracting from the group with the utility my Cover/Clemency/Veil/Stoneskin provide during the Prey/Add/Buster mechanics.
Perhaps instead of a 5% flat on SwO put a 10% dynamic damage buff on Royal Authority so you have to use multiple combos to maintain your maximum output.

Can people please stop stating that Drk has a DPS stance that is completely false. We only have a weird perma Maim buff that makes us MP manage. It is not a stance at all.
And Warrior has "perma" (if they do rotations right) Maim buff as well.
Paladin has 30% for 30s with a 90s wait time attached - and it shows.

600-650 in 100% Shield oath? That's the highest I've seen or heard of a PLD in A1S. The jump time alone should pull your under 600.
Just like in 2.X with defiance off was considered WARs DPS stance. If everyone knows what you mean then the point is accepted.
