Do you no longer receive XP if you are dead after a dungeon boss is defeated?

So playing 'unsynched' means doing it the new way with a higher level character than the normal method, and doing it unsynched is what gives no XP. But a lot of people refer to this backwards, do you really mean you did the dungeon normally without the special options checked related to undersize party etc?

So I did the dungeon normally without any special options and I did the dungeon for the first time when this happened to me. I believe I did this at the normal level for this dungeon too. So by your definition, did I do this dungeon unsynched thus no XP was given?
