Something need to be done about BAD DPS.

I understand that you doubt of yourself a lot, but i myself can tell if i made a big mistake or not after doing the same content again and again with different pug groups : You see how much time it takes for the dps to take down the boss compare to others group and how your main tank deals with his CD. As an astro you're very watchful to the use of your teamates buff since it help you to optimize your cards. So you don't really need an official parser to know which is doing the more and who is lacking.

I won't allow myself to insult them or start a votekick just because i know it would be simplier by replacing them.

But i know too, that a lot of players won't hesitate if an official tool allow them to point out someone in difficulty.
It's just gonna incite everyone to not try to make content via duty finder anymore.

(Protip: any boob can macro all their cooldowns to a single button and push away. That doesn't mean that they're playing efficiently, or well. At all. Thanks for representing the lowest common denominator, though....in a variety of ways.)

You could also carry a few bad dps in WOW a lot of the times in ffxiv that is not the case.

That entirely depends on the content you do.
WoW bosses had enrage timers back from vanilla, i still remember four horsemen going crazy near the end.
Tried to go to the sunwell or hell any tbc raid with slacky dps? hahaha good luck.
In LFR sure you can slack around since the bosses basically kill themselves.

More pages and pages of people complaining about bad dps players while using the duty finder, which was designed and exists to give everyone of all skill levels, access to content.

Create your own party of good players you know. No friend to play with? make some. It's late and no one is on? Tough luck.

Stop trying to lock players out of content because you don't want to lose time wiping. You have control on who you party with. The end.

About helping others improve, I understand that it's a good tool, but it's also a double edged sword, surely anyone is able to understand that.

This thread isnt about duty finder its about bad DPS. Maybe you need to go back and read the first post. You have to wade through a bunch of crap dps to find any good ones. Sorry if it hurts someone's feelings when I tell them they are no good at the job they chose.

If not for the Duty Finder then how do you even run into these 'bad' DDs? Party Finder groups tend to only want experienced players of specific minimum iLs, especially if they are farm parties. His points stand.

PF and minimum ilvl still don't stop bad dps from joining. I've seen so many "farm pt" or "know the fight 100% / experienced" and turns out, half the pt doesn't know the fight or just suck at their job >_> You can set the ilvl to whatever you want and it won't really matter. XIV throws gear at people so someone could be horrible at the game and still have decently high ilvl just from doing expert a day

Its because when we put up a pf and state you need to be good people that suck keep joining. Party finder is not free game like df.

I still don't get one thing. WHY are DPS allowed to slack, be bad, and hold the party back, while Healers and Tanks are not? Why are we babying DPS?
