Crafting is now POINTLESS

Imo if they only made fcob harder the crafted gear wouldn't have been so op. Therefore its wayyyyyyy easier to nerf/ adjust mechanics if its too extreme rather than to buff mechanics ( haven't seen se so this yet ).

But instead se took the lazy way out and blamed alllll of it on crafted melded gear. So they chose the ooops i guess we nerf crafting's usefulness into the ground in 3.0 route.
Now 99% of crafters r like this is just pure bs cuz the grind is just a grind with nothing at the end goal.

Notice you state 2.3 to 2.55. You know why? There wasn't much 2.0 to 2.3 for crafting. I hate crafting always have. My wife on the other hand is grandmaster so I get to see all that is crafting and I will say this. It needs time to develope just like when 2.0 came. There will he a time... 3.1 3.2 somewhere where melded crafted items will be worth it to Dow and Dom. Do I like it? No but it looks like they are treating 3.0 just the same as 2.0 and it will take a few patches to develope.

Wait... all for some fancy high end crafted gear. Needing one to Raid. You know... those intimidating raid things where a silly DPS check/meter is wanted/needed. Ya... no. If the combat classes can sell it. I can see it being just as bad as the Thav stuff atm. Oo

Oh, so the Hundreds and hundreds of millions are not enough for the crafters eh....cry me a river...If making money is the only enjoyment you get out of this game then maybe it is not for you. I craft and gather because it is fun and something different to do when I am not raiding...and don't need to take advantage of people and make insane amounts of gil off other people. Get over it already...the game should have never been that way to begin with. Crafted gear should be an alternative that lags behind...not a means of getting ahead.

That's kind of. . . a part of why people craft. The market board is just as much a part of the crafting game as the crafting itself. Since you only craft for the sake of crafting and fun during your down time though, I get why you don't get why people are upset.

What was sad is that when the new DoW / DoM gear came out I had my regular raiders asking me to make them some pieces and I just couldn't unless I wanted to cut into my own progression. I tried to explain what they could do to get me the mats and I'll craft it for them and not a single player has asked me for a request
