    Lvl 31 ARC not recog by guildmstr

    I am a lvl 31 archanist and recently leveled thaumarurge up to 15. Headed back to archanist guild to obtain quest which will give me soul crystal, and am not recognized at all by the guild master. Have equipped grimoire and am not wearing anything out of character. Any tips? Please help!

    In addition to the level requirements, there are a couple of other things needed to unlock the first job quest.

    They are the following:

    Quests:
    Sinking Doesmaga
    Sylph-Management

    Trial:
    The Bowl of Embers

    Could you check your quest log to ensure you've completed the above requirements?

    To unlock Summoner, Thubyrgeim (Limsa Lominsa 4-11) will send you to Gridania to speak to Y'mhitra at Apkallu Falls.
    She will be your Job Quest giver

    While this is true, Austerities of Flame (the quest you refer to) is given by Thubyrgeim, and this appears to be the quest OP is trying to take.
