Lawyer at work, SE definitely needs you.
So basically, it's fine to advertise a live session to an English speaking community without having a way for that community to understand it other than a text summary that they can read whenever they want?
They did, via the twitter feed, which was advertised the entire interview on the back screen in French, Japanese, German, and English.

It makes me feel bad to be an American when people like you will defend anything they feel like just because "dur I can lul."They had a twitter feed posting the Q&A's in English as fast as they could get them out. What more could you expect? It's a live event for Japan. These aren't magical gnomes. This is a Japanese game, with a Japanese dev team.
This entire topic, and all you complainers just make me feel bad for being American. It's like you feel entitled to everything and just complain when it doesn't go the way you expected.
They shouldn't have bothered advertising the live event if they had no interest in translating the live event. You can read a twitter feed whenever the hell you want to, you don't have to wake up at 5 AM for it.

Yeah, I think a lot of people forget that English companies does this all the time and later do other regions tend to get the transcript or the 'dubbed version' or not get it at all. They had a twitter feed posting the Q&A's in English as fast as they could get them out. What more could you expect? It's a live event for Japan. These aren't magical gnomes. This is a Japanese game, with a Japanese dev team.

Yoshida mentioned that jobs will be advanced via quests and achievements not via leveling.
Not that I doubt you, but I haven't seen this in any of the interviews. Unless it was just mentioned on the live cast.
But I do hope you are right and this is the case. Makes more sense in terms of balancing as well.

It's been stated NUMEROUS times in varying forms. Whether it be the letters or Yoshida's forum posts.
