What do you do when a DPS doesn't DPS and only heals?

Yeah makes sense. It\\'s hard because I\\'m on PS4 as well so to type I have to put the controller down so makes it hard sometimes to quickly tell people things as if I\\'m typing and press X for example on the controller it will send the message if I\\'m not out of the chat box. I don\\'t think it was a troll though that was the sad part, like at the start they were talking about being new etc. My surprise was more than someone in a level 50 dungeon doesn\\'t know they don\\'t heal themselves!

I have a keyboard, I'm saying unlike PC players where your hands are already on the keys where you can quickly type out a message while still healing, it's harder on PS4 since you have to basically put the dualshock down to use the keyboard or awkwardly use it with one hand type thing. It's not hard I just mean it's a bit more clunky than PC players with their hands already on it.

Only time I start healing as a SMN is when I am in a 4-man and the healer is dead (and I've already cast Res) or getting back on his feet after a res, or I feel that me casting a few Physicks will make the difference between a tank or healer living or dying.

I as the healer would stay in CS mode and be like
"y u so bad at healing."
Then they say either
" ofc my heals suck im a dps"
( point proven ) or
*no comment do not understand english
( might require a boot or a spam of auto translate then a boot if they still no understand )

A friend of mine recently started playing (like, two weeks ago). After a lot of thought he picked arcanist as his main, and plans on going with summoner at 30. I've been running low level dungeons with him to show him the ropes. He does this same thing every dungeon. I've explained to him several times what his job is and that healing is not expected of him....ever. Somehow he just isn't getting it. I don't want him to go through the same hell I went through learning my job, but it's starting to seem like he's screwed. Any suggestions on how I might drill it into his head, or should I just leave him to the df wolves?

LOL I just had this exp when I was doing Lvl DR. There's this ACN kept healing the tank with Physick. I was like "Are you using potions, tank?"

Seriously, I went through the entire Tamtara Deepcroft in Cleric Stance dpsing while he healed the tank lol (Except for the last boss when he finally remembered his role )

Well to be fair anything under level 30 (beyond maybe Baukku Manor) can be healed by both cjr and acn maybe even cross classed thm. (and the dps loss is not that much maybe the guy say SCH and thought that he was healer since he can heal the dungeon just fine).
