What I mean is only for glamour purpose if this gonna be developed for glamour, not become ilv 200+ weapon.
(JP forum looks more tidy so they no need to make other thread to discuss same topic)
Healers with shields look badass in my opinion.
Like I mean I know we have tanks and all that, but a wandering healer wouldn't just use a staff. They'd likely have a shield to protect themselves from oncoming arrows, spells, etc WHILE healing others. I always found healers with shields and something else (typically in old lore would be a sword not some magic item) to be super realistic and awesome.
I just like it a lot more. Like I love plate-cloth combinations like what dragon age 2 had stylized as it's end-game gear along with shields and some melee weapon on a healer.

Absolutely. I also like the ideal of my healer class getting added defense from wearing the shield.Healers with shields look badass in my opinion.

nah... we're in a world that has magics. wizards don't need heavy armor or shield. we have magic shield like Protect, Stoneskin, Manawall/ward.Healers with shields look badass in my opinion.

1) That's just because he's a Knight of the Round first and foremost. His magic usage is secondary.
2) We get the option in some sense with some of the Coil gear. Not full armor but definitely has metal.
Shield-wise, that's not something FF's WHM or BLM would have.
They have a more traditional caster look.
It's just a hold-over from CNJ and THM, but it could be moved to a new class later on that would be more suited to it.

Alot of people disliked the idea of the wand/shield combo. If they wanted the wand it should only be the wand and not a shield.

Probably should have just picked one job (whm or blm) to have wand + shield and let the other job have the 2h weapon.
Simply make weapon and shield in one item, like tank armour that cannot equip head gear.
Then solves everything, it will be one single item, but appears as 2 pieces on you when equipped. ^^;
