Its a incentive that gets the wrong people to play. There is nothing worse than players who queue up to tome farm and don't give a damn about trying to win.
Exactly. Because when you discourage players from trying new things without giving them incentive, they won't try it.
The interest in PvP is abysmal and severely lacking. If you really think PvP interest is all that great for hardcore PvPers, try getting into a Wolves' Den queue and tell me how long it takes for a 4-man.

I hope the devs are listening. We need the devs to please listen.
Its like this in all games. Many pvers don't like pvp. You can add on some pve type rewards to get them interested, but it gets them interested for the wrong reasons. Most people who queue up don't really care about winning or strategy. They just want their easy tome farm. Ultimately that isn't good for players who actually enjoy pvp.Exactly. Because when you discourage players from trying new things without giving them incentive, they won't try it.

Tomes promote people who want a lazy way of getting PvE gear, which isn't healthy PvP.There's a lot to be desired for PvP, don't get me wrong. This thread is intended for what you **wouldn't** want changed about PvP. What is Squeenix doing right in this scenario?
++++ Giving 20 top-tier tomes for EVERY L60 Frontlines, even without daily bonus. This is a massive help to catch up. THANK YOU!!!
+ Keeping additional stat bonuses out of Frontlines. Skill in understanding your job should be the forefront of PvP, not stat advantages.
+ Keeping the ilvl low. It keeps one-on-one fights fair.
+ Marking players on a rampage. It helps identify what parties are organized.
+ Seeing where the opponents are within range, especially in multi-platform areas where the camera has trouble looking up.
Post what you think they're doing right and upvote what you like.
Keeping the Ilvl low can go both ways...one way is it makes pvp rewards useless (other than glamour) and the other way it is good for keeping gear balance which might frustrate new players...
Also what is wrong with PvP is the fact that it's 3 teams vsing eachother. I'd rather have 1 team vs 1 team :-/
Other stuff I can agree with tho.
The fact that you cannot que as a 72 premade already makes frontlines pretty casual (and most zergstyle pvp, only GW2 made it possible to make zerg style have more pvp player appeal). As people have said making some easy to access party 8v8and/or(v8) objective based pvp would be nice to have an alternative to the arena that is wolfs den. Overall before anything is added the que times.... ja those need to be fixed somehow, anyhow.
Would be nice if they added the ability to make alliances so you could have alliance v alliance pvp too.
Overall the system they have in place can work and while yes pvers show up for eso in frontlines, it helps with ques (somewhat) currently. Just those que times.

i agree wolves den is boring i had 7 fights there for 5 wins n stopped i love all the frontline modes just the queues frustrate me at times lol imo they should wait til 72 people 2gther then randomly assign them to different factions instead of GC vs GC vs GC but nothin other than gc factions will ever happen ,_,
I only liked 2 changes so far, regarding Seize specifically.
One thing they did right was design narrow corridors in the map, making for excellent use of BRD/MCH Limit Breaks. As I am playing Machinist this is a big plus for me.
The other thing which is kinda nice is the idea of keeping cliffs but not making them fatal. The center in Borderlands was a death trap and unbalanced for the classes with frequent Knockbacks. Honestly I wish the cliffs were slightly higher up so that they would do even more damage. But the idea of making them not fatal at all, is a good change in my opinion. The fall should be enough to cripple you and force you to retreat and heal up. But right now it seems only to act as a nuisance in that you have to run back around and find a ramp. Oh well, I prefer it this way over outright instant death like we had before, at least.
I like the Esoterics and LAw introduction on Seize FLs, because I hate to have to cap it doing a DR:EXP that is slitted between 2 Dungeons.
FL up to now has a queue issue, and even if I think that make the playerbase rose thanks to the Duty Roulette Frontline woulded help the queue times, now I can say that a lot of casual players NOT interested in PvP are joining them doing almost nothing and this is getting annoying because they are not "trying" something new, they are just there for DR bonus.
So in my opinion the daily bonus is a good things, but it shoulded be Wolves mark + PvP Exp, without any more thome that the nomal one that u will obtain during a normal FL.
Also I think that the DR shouldn't give any bonus to the 3° placed and make them able to redo it and show and give a "GC in need bonus".
But this intended to be a positive post XD
Up to now I can say that Seize FL is my favourite mode, it's a midway between slaughter and secure and it involve strategy, cohordination, survivalism, roaming and KILL IT KILL IIIT! xD
The map is well designed and the RNG help to avoid static situation like Secure or Slaughter alpha drones pop.
I hope they will make some midify to old FLs too, to make them more pleasing too again.
