New Macros

With Heavensward under way I would love to be able to macro Str Potions and Poison Pots currently there is no way ive found to macro consumables. I use macros all the time it saves space on the cross bars , I have T13 on farm and feel like a play PLD very good with the new skills comin to Heavensward space is gonna be limited. I already run 2 bars and a some skills on the pull and hold 3rd bar system. Ive been told in 1.0 you were able to macro consumables please bring this system back.

I don't understand.

Either you have the item on your crossbar or a macro on your crossbar.

Or would you be using it with an ability?

I'm guessing he means to use it in a macro along with other abilities. Which could be useful, I think. I used to keep a macro with some of the "lesser" tank cooldowns (foresight, stuff like that). I'd put it all in one macro, with no waits between it and just spam that macro while doing my GCD. That allowed me not actually put foresight, bloodbath, etc on a hotbar. I just had one macro for all the lesser cooldowns. Not sure I'd put a stat pot on there, but I can't see why there isn't the ability to /item "Str potion" <me>.

Exactly I play with lots of macros have been pld since day 1 and lots of buffs can be set in a macro and pressed to fire each one in between globals this is highly efficent and saves tons of space on the crossbar. Yes i do have Str pots on a slot by themselves but the point of this post is to be able to macro a str pot into my buffs. such as i have fight or flight - bloodbath on one button i have to press it twice to get both effects they can be weaved between globals when done proper youll get the most healing out of bloodbath saving space. Example fast blade - fight or fight macro ogcd- savage blade - bloodbath macro ogcd- Rage of Halone. As a paladin whos done all raid content im almost always giving myself a buff whether offensive or defensive in between globals.

Strongly support this. It would make for a cleaner cross bar setup if potions could be macro'd with abilities.
